Paragliding or skydiving in Interlaken? The honest comparison
Both promise the Alps from above, but they feel very different. Paragliding is a calm flight of 10 to 20 minutes, a skydive is a fast freefall from about 4,000 m. Here are the facts side by side.

A tandem paragliding flight over Interlaken costs CHF 180 per person, from Grindelwald-First CHF 220. A tandem helicopter skydive over Interlaken costs from CHF 490 at Skydive Interlaken.
Height and time in the air
Paragliding over Interlaken starts at about 1,370 m at Beatenberg, from First at 2,150 m. You are in the air for 10 to 20 minutes. For the skydive the helicopter takes you to about 4,000 m. In freefall you reach up to 200 km/h, then you glide down under the parachute.

Weight and age
For paragliding, give the weight of every passenger when you book. Over 100 kg or under 40 kg, the pilots check what is possible. For the helicopter skydive Skydive Interlaken states a maximum of 100 kg and a minimum age of 12, under 18 with consent from the parents.
Which one suits you
If you want to take in the view calmly and have time to look around, take the paragliding flight. If you are after the rush of freefall, the skydive is the stronger kick. Both depend on the weather. Allow 1.5 to 2 hours for a paragliding flight over Interlaken and 2 to 3 hours for the skydive.
