Your first tandem flight: what happens, step by step
No experience needed. Here is exactly what happens on the day, so you know what to expect before you book.

1. Book and pay
You choose flight, date and number of people and pay securely online by card. We book your pilot and send you the meeting point and time. If no pilot is free at your time, you get another time or a full refund.
2. Meet your pilot
In Interlaken there is a pick-up in town or a meeting point in Beatenberg. For Grindelwald-First you meet at the bottom station of the Firstbahn. The Firstbahn ticket to the take-off is not included in the flight price. For the Lauterbrunnen Valley you meet in Mürren. Your confirmation has the exact place.

3. Briefing and harness
At the take-off your pilot puts you in the harness and explains the start and the landing. It takes a few minutes.
4. Take-off
You run a few steps together with your pilot, the wing lifts you and you are in the air. The pilot tells you exactly when to run and when to sit back.
5. In the air
Depending on the flight you are 5 to 20 minutes in the air: 10–20 minutes from Beatenberg to Interlaken, 15–20 minutes from First and from Mürren. If you like, your pilot films and takes photos, usually CHF 40.
6. Landing
You land in Interlaken, Grindelwald or the Lauterbrunnen Valley. Plan 1 to 2 hours in total including the way to the take-off.

How long does the whole experience take?
1 to 2 hours in total, depending on the flight. In the air you are 5 to 20 minutes.
Can I take my phone?
Only if it is secured. Most guests leave filming to the pilot, photos and video usually cost CHF 40.
